PATTY HALL AND ALLEN SINGER-"Folk music and so much more!"

Mar 21 2009 - 7:00pm
PATTY HALL AND ALLEN SINGER

Patty Hall( www.pattyhall.com ) and Allen Singer(www.allensinger.com) walked some of the same folk music roads during the 1960's great folk scare/revival on the west and east coast. Over the years and down many different roads since traveled, Patty and Allen have continued their musical journey. Patty and Allen will each play separate sets.
Join them in an evening of folk music, blues, old time traditional music and original songs.

Patty will perform with Greg Campbell, a fine guitarist and performer.

Allen will be backed by Dane Terry, a great harmonica player and blues musician.

Performing folk music is one of Patty’s first loves. For more than three decades, she has delighted audiences at folk festivals, coffee houses, and in concert, with her eclectic mix of old-timey, country/blues, and original songs, played on guitar, banjo, a National steel tricone dobro and keyboard. Patty’s repertoire also includes songs that tie into themes of her children’s books.

Patty Hall loves to celebrate. Whether in a humorous original song, a fanciful children’s book, or one of her live programs, this 4th-generation California native applauds the playful world of childhood, the importance of family and home, and the humorous side of growing older.

Patty has written more than a dozen books for children and adults, including historical books about Johnny Gruelle and Raggedy Ann and Andy, and board books and Ready-to-Reads about the floppy duo’s adventures. Built on themes of friendship, kindness, and the joys of learning, Patty’s books offer spirited contemporary interpretations of time-honored virtues and values.
