Bob Zentz is an award-winning singer, songwriter, song-sharer, and
Folk-Legacy recording artist whose early West Coast experiences as a
writer for the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour led him home to Hampton
Roads, VA to reinvigorate the traditional music scene.  The Virginia
native performs internationally yet still lives and performs in his
hometown, and is active in nurturing the next generation of
traditional musicians, in the belief that the future of our world
depends upon our youth, and music.  Information about Bob's music,
life, friends, performances, and programs for all ages – elementary
school to elders – is available at www.bobzentz.com

Bob arrives at the Maritime Historical Weekend at MMSD on the heels of
a nationwide XM Radio broadcast on New Year's Eve, on Rich Warren's
FolkStage program (Chicago), and as a presenter at the opening plenary
session of the AHA meeting (Jan. 7).  His West Coast tour includes
dates in San Diego, L.A., Portland and Seattle, and the Friday night
concert at MMSD marks the West Coast release of his new CD "Horizons,"
which will be previewed on XM Radio the week before.

"Horizons" marks Bob's return to the legendary Folk-Legacy Records
with a collection of fourteen songs written, arranged, or set to music
by Bob over the past forty years, some of which have been extensively
covered by other artists yet have never appeared on one of his own
albums.
